Designing my brand...
This is the personal logo I designed as I step into the field as a graphic designer. I wanted a mark that reflects both sides of my personality—playful and expressive, but also capable of feeling refined and intentional. Using a lively script, I connected my initials with a shared descender to highlight something that matters deeply to me: genuine connection with people. The style of the "H" also resembles how I naturally write my signature, making the mark feel personal and authentic.
I’ve received mixed feedback on how quickly people read the letters, and I took that into consideration. In the end, I kept the design because it says something true: not everyone will see you clearly at first glance, but that doesn’t lessen the strength of your identity.
For color choices, I chose light and dark blues to communicate calmness, trust, and reliability, paired with a bold red to add energy and passion for life. The light tan is a gentle neutral that compliments the rest of the palette. Purple and green act as accent colors to keep the palette vibrant and reflective of my colorful personality. For typography, I love to use Gelica— a playful yet mature font with its rounded serifs—and pair it with Avenir Next for clean, accessible body text.

Intentional Process
With my initials being double letters, I knew from the beginning I wanted to lean into a monogram for my logo. I explored many options for how to combine the two "H's." While I like a few of the ideas, the script style felt the most like me. It was definitely a unique experience designing something for myself that feels so closely tied to my identity.
