Cool Classics

My father loves classic cars, and in turn I have developed a simple appreciation for them, namely the nostalgia they bring. I love watching people light up when a cool classic rolls by. There’s always that instant “Oh cool!” reaction.

Inspired by this, I did 2 designs of classics that invoke that feeling in me: a Volkswagen bug and a Ford truck. 

The rough line-art style and abstract, color blocking approach are techniques I’ve long admired in other artists’ work, and exploring them here has made me eager to develop this style further.
